fall cleaning checklist

i'm a list person. i make list for everything - daily tasks, packing, and schedules. i am often teased that i am the type of person that makes a list for making a list. i love lists. i love the feeling of seeing a list filled with checkmarks or strikethroughs.

today i find myself figuring out a checklist for my upcoming "big project." the "big project" is things i think need to me accomplished prior to the first frost. for my reader who are not aware with colorado weather, a frost can happen as soon as september here at 1748 miles above sea level. and in my organzational brain, i'm thinking of all that needs to be done, so i'm not doing those tasks in the snow. her is a list i started, keep in mind it isn't done.

Outdoor:
  • Clean & Store Patio Furniture & Outdoor Toys
  • Check caulking around windows & doors - re-caulk if necessary
  • Check door seals - apply weather stripping if needed
  • Wash exterior windows
  • Drain & store garden hoses, install covers on spigots
  • Rake leaves and mow weeds - fertilize lawn & weed killer
  • Clean out flower beds and pots
  • Plant Bulbs
  • Replace Light bulbs

Inside:
  • Caulk bathtub & toilet
  • Fix bathroom cabinet
  • Wash inside windows
  • Pull out stove and refrigerator to clean behind
  • Put A/C unit away
  • Chair feet pads on dining room chairs
i need more ideas, not saying my list isn't long enough - it surely is. i am going to research what good ole' Martha would do and some articles out of Real Simple.

thanks for reading...jeny
